How Does Basis Work?
As you get older, your levels of the coenzyme NAD+ may decrease by as much as 50%. This matters because NAD+ does a lot of important things in your body. A natural precursor to NAD+, NR is a safe and efficient compound for boosting NAD+. PT is a compound found in plants that is chemically similar to resveratrol but different in some important ways: Because of its ability to dissolve in body fat, PT lingers longer in the system and is absorbed better. PT works synergistically with NR because it activates sirtuins.

- What is NAD+?While science has known about NAD+ for the past century, in the last two decades we’ve made the major discovery that it declines with age, and that NAD+ is required for the activity of sirtuins, your “longevity genes.” NAD+ is primarily involved in the creation of energy in the form of ATP, as well as hundreds of other functions, among them maintaining the DNA repair process regulating circadian rhythms.
