Reproductive Sciences, Genetics, & Development, Columbia University

Yousin Suh,  Ph.D., is the Charles and Marie Robertson Professor of Reproductive Sciences in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Professor of Genetics and Development, and Director of the Reproductive Aging Program at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University.

Dr. Suh investigates the (epi)genetic mechanisms underlying the interface between intrinsic aging and disease by identifying (epi)genomic variants associated with age-related disease risk or, conversely, resistance to disease. To define the functional impact of these variants, her lab integrates in silico modeling, cell-based assays, and mouse models. Her contributions to the field have been recognized by the Glenn Award for Research in Biological Mechanisms of Aging. She has organized numerous international symposia on functional genomics of aging, serves on the editorial boards of several journals including PLOS Genetics and Aging Cell, and advises multiple research institutions and companies.
